Great Danes are beautiful gentle giants . We love ours so much we wanted to create more of them ! And so, we became breeders. After years of research and planning, we have created Heathstead Danes.

We are very protective of our puppies and want to make sure they go to responsible and loving homes.

What You Need to Know

Great Danes are considered a giant breed - our Moose is around 75 kg and Juno is 65Kg

They have absolutely no respect for personal space - they still think they are lap dogs.

Training early is critical to ensure you can control a dog of that size when they are an adult, but they are easy to train .

They need moderate exercise but too much a daily walk and garden play time is enough.

They are a loving, loyal and affectionate breed and great with kids. They are peaceful animals but their tails can be deadly around cups and glasses :-)

Meet our Danes

This is Moose. He is a pedigree Blue Great Dane

Moose is a big boy (as you can see here with our golden retriever for perspective) but he is really just a big sook - he won't go out in the rain because he doesnt like getting his feet wet, and his most favourite thing to do is sleep next to the fire (preferably on your lap).

He is an extremely loyal, even tempered dog, and has assumed the role of protector for the family (he even protects the cats!).

We love him to the moon and back.

Meet our Danes

This is Juno. She is a pedigree Blue Great Dane

Juno is a dog for whom each day is the best day ever. She thinks everyone is her friend and is excited about everything.

By far the most athletic and spirited of our dogs, she is also equally happy lying with her humans by the fire. She is extremely good natured with all vistors and kids.

And finally, we have a dog who loves the water! She takes herself for laps in the pool (even on her own!).

She is an absolute darling and everyone who meets her falls in love with her.
